Sustainability

"Before researchers become researchers they should become philosophers." Masanobu Fukuoka

What is this world about? - In this one life? What is life? These questions are present and each individual acts according to his or her possibilities. Few are able to act as freely as the mind would like and the realisation of the desired lifestyle quickly reaches its individual limits. But one capacity is immediately available to everyone: The decision about personal "consumer behaviour".

In an interview, Dan Longboat, Mohawk of the Six Nations of the Grand River in Canada, spoke about the importance of being human and observed that all living beings, the oceans, the air, the plants, the animals, the minerals, the sun and the planets - indeed the entire universe - are involved in a process: In the continuation of life.
TEIKEI works with this approach and only offers products that are sustainable in terms of this intergenerational contract. Only if our great-grandchildren and their grandchildren can continue to produce and use the food and leave no environmental pollution behind, only then is this product truly sustainable and we have achieved our goal.

We are starting with olive oil and will be adding other storable foods (food, textiles, building materials, etc.) to our range in the future. We will also focus intensively on the topics of packaging and transport - together with production, these are the three main characteristics by which we will recognise and assess sustainable products.
